Foreclosure Prevention Clinic (Hartford)

Know Your Rights in the Foreclosure Process

When: 05/15/2012, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

WHO CAN ATTEND: The clinic is open to any homeowner facing foreclosure.
No pre-registration is required. There is no charge.

WHAT: The clinics will offer homeowners information about the judicial foreclosure and mediation process along with guidance on how to prepare and what documents to bring to mediation and court as well as referrals to housing counseling agencies. A court mediator and spokesperson from the Department of Banking will also present. Homeowners will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with volunteer attorneys, paralegals, and paralegal students from the University of Hartford Paralegal Studies Program.

WHERE: University High School of Science & Engineering, 351 Mark Twain Drive, Hartford.

From I-84: Take Exit 44 and then Prospect Avenue north to Albany Avenue. Turn right onto Albany Avenue, go ½ mile, and turn left onto Mark Twain Drive. (A sign for Westbrook Village is at the corner of Albany  Avenue and Mark Twain Drive.) Drive approximately 1 mile. The University High School will be on your left, shortly after the stop sign.

From Downtown Hartford: Take Albany Avenue west, past Blue Hills Avenue and Westbourne Parkway. Turn right onto Mark Twain Drive. (A sign for Westbrook Village is at the corner of Albany Avenue and Mark Twain Drive.) Drive approximately 1 mile. The University High School will be on your left, shortly after the stop sign.
